Tap

Tap dance is a distinctive style of dance that revolves around creating rhythmic sounds by striking the floor with specially designed tap shoes. These shoes are equipped with metal "taps" on the heel and toe, producing unique percussive sounds. At our studio, we provide tap classes catered to both competitive dancers and those who dance recreationally in the studio setting. Whether you're looking to compete or simply enjoy the art form, we offer tap instruction to suit your aspirations and goals.

Hip Hop

Hip-hop dance encompasses a diverse range of street dance styles that originated or evolved within hip-hop culture, often performed to hip-hop music. These styles include breaking, locking, and popping, which emerged in the 1970s and gained popularity through dance crews in the United States. Breaking involves intricate floor movements and acrobatics, while locking emphasizes fast, exaggerated movements and distinct pauses. Popping focuses on contracting and releasing muscles to create sharp, robotic-like movements. Hip-hop dance is an integral part of the urban dance scene, known for its creativity, rhythm, and connection to contemporary music and culture.

ACRO

Acrobatic training focuses on developing flexibility, contortion, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline, and concentration. By incorporating elements from various dance disciplines, acrobatic dance allows for the expression of individual personality. Participating in acrobatic dance enhances flexibility and upper body strength. Moreover, it provides valuable spatial awareness skills, which are crucial for partnering and ensemble work. Musical THeater

Our Musical Theater classes focus on elements of dancing and acting; all of which are necessary components of musical theatre. The class will touch upon history and various styles of this art form and students will have the opportunity to perform numbers from well-known musicals.

Ballet

Ballet serves as the cornerstone of all dance forms, providing the essential elements of grace, poise, and technique necessary to excel in every aspect of dance. Dancers in this class will advance at their own pace, focusing on ballet techniques suitable for their age. It is important to note that this class is mandatory for all company members, as it lays the foundation for their dance education.

Jazz

Jazz dancing is an expressive form of dance that highlights the individual style and creativity of each dancer. In jazz, dancers have the freedom to interpret and execute moves and steps in their own unique way. This dynamic style of dance is characterized by its high energy and enjoyment, incorporating distinctive moves, intricate footwork, impressive leaps, and rapid turns. Jazz dancing is a captivating and thrilling art form that allows dancers to showcase their personality and skill through its vibrant and engaging movements.

Lyrical

Lyrical dance is a fusion of ballet and jazz styles, while contemporary dance draws inspiration from modern dance (characterized by rounded shapes in lyrical and more angular movements in contemporary). Building upon the techniques learned in ballet and the strength and flexibility gained from jazz, dancers in this class will learn to blend these qualities while expressing stories or emotions through movement. Through this class, dancers will enhance their flexibility, balance, and musicality. It combines the elements of lyrical and contemporary styles, incorporating contract-release movements, floor work, fall and recovery techniques, as well as improvisation.

POM

Pom dancing focuses on precise, synchronized motions along with technical dance skills (such as jumps, turns, and leaps). Routines can encompass various styles of dance and will be geared towards a jazz style with some smaller amounts of Kick possibly worked in. Pom focuses a lot on formations and visual elements as well. It is energetic and fun to perform and to watch!
